The Hindu religion is being revolutionized by the Schenectady Hindu Temple through hardwork and dedication.

  • Pandit Jai N. Misir is teaching Hindi classes to the people of Schenectady. In the past couple of months Pandit Jai has formed an advanced class in which he is teaching children and the adults how to read the Ramayan. Pandit Jai is giving more control to the children of the temple through allowing them to conduct the Havan service regularly on Sunday mornings. 
  • Pandit Jai has formed a public speaking class at the temple to give the members an opportunity to express their knowledge of the Hindu scriptures and their personal experience to an audience.
  • The Schenectady Hindu Temple youth group has formed a Kirtan group to express their devotion ot the lord through music. In addition to the kirtan goup these songs give the children and opportunity to express the meaning of these bhajans to an western audience.
